    1. ballet.
      A position in which the dancer stands with one leg stretched out backwards and the body bent forwards from the hips.
    2. A complex flowing design of leaves, flowers, etc woven together.
    3. A short ornate piece of music.
Etymology: 17c: from Italian arabesco in the Arabian style.
