    1. bot.
      An indehiscent fleshy fruit that contains anything from several to many seeds which are not surrounded by a stony protective layer, eg grape, cucumber, tomato, citrus fruits.
    2. loosely
      Any of the various small fleshy edible fruits that are not true berries, eg strawberry and raspberry.
    3. zool.
      A dark structure resembling a knob on the bill of a swan.
    4. The egg of a crayfish or lobster.
