    1. Any of numerous perennial plants with funnel-shaped flowers consisting of five fused petals, including many climbing species which twine around the stems of other plants. See also convolvulus.
    2. A perennial European plant and persistent weed, which has long slender twining stems, arrowhead-shaped leaves, and funnel-shaped white or pink flowers.
