    2. The flat, usually long and narrow, part of a leaf, petal or sepal.
    3. The wide flat part of an oar, bat or propeller, or of certain tools and devices.
    4. A broad flat bone, eg the shoulder blade (scapula).
    5. The runner of an ice-skate, that slides on the surface of the ice.

    7. The free flat part of the tongue just behind the tip.
