blind spot
noun
    1. On the retina of the eye: a small area from which no visual images can be transmitted, and where nerve fibres from the light-sensitive rods and cones lead into the optic nerve.
    2. An area of poor reception within the normal range of radio transmission, caused by tall buildings or other obstructions.
    3. A place where sight or vision is obscured because something is in the way or there is no means of viewing it from the position occupied.
    4. Any subject which a person either cannot understand, or refuses even to try to understand.
