blinker
noun
    1. One of two small flat pieces of leather attached to a horse's bridle to prevent it from seeing sideways. N Amer equivalent blinders.
      Form: blinkers (usually)
    (especially US)
    2. A light that blinks or flashes, usually as a signal, eg an indicator on a car used to show that the driver intends to turn, overtake or pull over. Also called winker.
verb blinkered, blinkering
    1. To put blinkers on (a horse).
    2. To limit or obscure the vision or awareness of (a person, etc).
