boars Definition

1. A wild ancestor of the domestic pig, native to Europe, Africa and Asia, which has thick dark hair, and the male of which has tusks.
2. A mature uncastrated male pig.
3. The flesh of a boar (as meat).

There is sometimes a spelling confusion between boar and boor.
