    1a. A piece of meat without bone, taken as an undercut of the sirloin, or the fleshy part of the thigh;
      Example: pork fillet
    1b. The most highly valued cut of beef, cut from the lowest part of the loin;
      Form: fillet steak (in full)
    1c. The flesh of a fish without its bone.
      Example: salmon fillet
    2. A thin narrow strip of wood, metal or other material.
    3. A ribbon, band, strip of lace, etc worn in the hair or round the neck.

      A narrow flat band, often between mouldings.
