noun
    1. A series of transparent strips, each one showing a different typical facial feature, from which it is possible to put together an impression or rough picture of a criminal or suspect from witnesses' descriptions.
    2a. Composed from Identikit;
      Example: an Identikit picture
    2b. As though put together using, or resembling something put together from, Identikit; artificial, without any true identity. See also Photofit.
      Example: just another identikit teenage pop star
Etymology: 1950s: invented by H C McDonald (born 1913).
