    1. To write, print or engrave (words) on (paper, metal, stone, etc), often as a lasting record.
    2. To enter (a name) on a list or in a book; to enrol.
    3. To dedicate or address (a book, etc) to them, usually by writing in the front of it.
      Form: inscribe something to someone (often)
    4. geom.
      To draw (a figure) within another figure so as to touch all or some of its sides or faces. Compare circumscribe.
