    1. A material consisting of lime, sand and water that is applied to walls when soft and dries to form a hard smooth surface. Also as adj.
    2. A strip of material, usually with a lint pad and an adhesive backing, that is used for covering and protecting small wounds. Also called sticking-plaster.
