    1. To flick or leaf through (the pages of a book, a pile of papers, etc) rapidly, especially in a casual search for something.
      Form: riffle through something (often)
    2. To shuffle (playing-cards) by dividing the pack into two equal piles, bending the cards back slightly and controlling the fall of the corners of the cards with the thumbs, so that cards from each pile fall more or less alternately and overlap each other.
    3. To make or form a ripple on the surface of water.
