- 1. An examination that replaced the O grade in 1986, taken in the fourth year of secondary school and designed to test pupils' ability to apply what they have been taught in practical ways as well as having a written component.
2a. A subject that is offered or taken at this level;
2b. A pass in a subject at this level.
